Prepare to fall in love! This adorable little chap is Digger...
Digger is a little bundle of terrier mischief and a whole lot of fun! He is sharing his foster home with other dogs and is fine with these. On walks he is a little wary of big dogs, but is friendly and non-confrontational.
He would not be suitable for a home with cats or small furries.
The foster home does not have resident children, and Digger has met children of all ages on walks nicely. However in a confined home environment around children Digger becomes wary, cautious and stressed. We would not therefore consider homing him where there are young children, although older, teenage children would be considered.
Digger loves his food, but is not at all food possessive, and responds well to treats for training. He travels well in the car on a seat belt harness.
Although Digger has been left for short periods, crated, when the fosterer has needed to go out, we would prefer a home where someone will be around a lot of the time to train and teach Digger to be the well rounded little lad he has the potential to be.
A home with some terrier experience would be ideal. His amazing ability to get into mischief when unsupervised should not be underestimated. He can easily jump onto kitchen worktops, window-sills and tables and the new owner needs to be mindful of this while Digger is still learning the boundaries.
On lead Digger does tend to get over-excited and pull; this is improving but needs further work. Digger greets people well, although is a little wary of men if they are standing over him.
Digger likes baths but is not fond of the hairdryer, and is ok being brushed.
Digger's fosterer has this to add:
Although Digger is over a year old he spent most of his first 12 months crated so is only just experiencing puppyhood and everything that comes with it. He's a very bright little dog that will require a lot of stimulation and would love a doggy playmate. He tends to get up to mischief when left alone. He loves long walks but is also happy to curl up next to you and sleep for hours during the day - if you're around him, then he's happy! Digger is very easy to love, very cuddly and affectionate, and an absolute joy to be around. It's going to be hard to let this little man go.....
Feast your eyes on the cuteness that is Digger!
Digger is of course neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
Digger's fosterer is happy to answer any further questions you may have.
If you are interested in adopting Digger please message Admin with your name and contact number (landline if possible) and one of our staff team will call you to take further details.
