This is what Daisy did with my Crochet I'd left on the coffee table Little minx not only tangled the wool but dragged it from lounge to hall So rest assured Beau, Mr Chips is not alone in his naughtiness

Haha! Beaufilly that pic looks a little photoshopped! Heehee! What is it about wool that is so tempting for dogs??!! I can't and won't put up a pic of what my greyhound Finn did this afternoon - we had been on the road for nearly 6 hours (through snow storms, so I was not stopping!) - when we got home, I put my bag on the ground next to the car before letting the 3 dogs out the back. Grabbing 3 leads as they leap out of the car is no easy task, hence the bag on the floor. It was an open shopper and I'd put my brand new not-yet-used cordless housephone on the top in its box still but the box was open. Anyway, as I was getting the two little girls out, Finn decided he wasn't waiting for a pee and cocked his leg on my bag..He's very tall, so he peed *IN* the bag...not sure if the new phone will work when I try it tomorrow....at least the rest of the stuff in there was dirty laundry!

The photo is a reconstruction of how we found him. I didn't want to wind the wool back over him for the obvious reasons. I did think that when I left the wool on the chair that it may not be safe from little teefys but forgot to move it so my own fault for laying wicked evil temptation down in the pathway of the righteous innocent beautiful little cherub........(my ass!)
Thankfully I was just making a bright "in yer face" jumper for him so I've carried on using the wool as he's the one going to have to wear it!
What was it you were making Pat? lol

Hi Beau, it was a doggie blanket. I have been making them for the rescue shop and I put some into the auctions. What they make go into the rescue funds x

Now it's nice to know I'm not the only one who has this trouble! Nemo will nick wool and run from room to room tossing it about ravelling it around everywhere. I was knitting the second of a pr of socks recently remember these are done on either double pointed needles or in this case 2 circular needles. I put it down on my chair nipped to make a drink turned to come back down the hall and met Livvy with my knitting in her mouth! An 'excuse me missis' resulted in a quick drop on the floor, I unwound the wool she'd trailed around things, walked into the living room just as she plonked her backside on the floor with the pattern in her mouth which I quickly rescued. Now I'd defy anyone to tell Livvy off, she's a big Shiddie girl but has the most squidgible, kissable face that still melts my heart after all these yrs she's lived with us. So completely against all dog training advice we had a cuddle, and she gives great snuggly cuddles ;D could you tell her off, because I can't xx Peg xx

Ha ha - lovely photos - I have same problem with The Villain, he loves my knitting bag but I'm usually so busy chasing after him I don't think to stop to take a photo. Once I had to extract some wool from his mouth Peg knows how dangerous this can be but when you fear your baby will choke you forget all about losing a finger or two so in I went and extracted yards of the stuff much to everyones amusement (afterwards) because it was like a magician pulling out yards and yards of ribbons from a hat. I'm not sure who was more shocked me or Dylan at the pile of soggy yarn that I recovered. Since that day I have made sure everything wool related is firmly zipped up and out of his way. Peg...... I have never knitted socks before and just about to start my first pair. I don't like dpns and use a long circular (magic loop method) to do gloves, mittens etc. Is it be easier to use 2 circulars then - and any tips for me? Sorry - wrong place to ask, didn't mean to crash all over the lovely Mr Chips thread.....I'll get off now

Excellent photos, I have only just started learning to knit and have just finished off a scarf (might be a while before I do anything apart from square/rectangle ) Toffee seems to like the wool I caught her playing football with it the other day, she is obsessed with balls, also when I am knitting Lady sits and licks my needles for me such a great help Peg Livvy is gorgeous I can never tell my dogs off

She's in tune with her Mum now we're both going a bit senile bless her, the times she spends looking into space. Get her out in the fields though and you have a different girl on your hands. She whizzes around and around. Peg xx
