Good Golly Miss Molly!
Molly is a 6 year old Yorkie x Border Terrier living in foster with another small terrier whom once she got to know was happy sharing her space with and they they now share a bed together.
Molly loves cuddles and will snuggle with you on the sofa in the evenings. She loves to be made a fuss of and would be happy as an only dog or sharing with another.
Molly has a longish coat which will need a little brushing. She is getting used to being brushed in short sessions. Her coat is not very thick so will need a little coat for warmth during winter.
Molly walks well on the lead and once her lead is attached she will take it in her mouth and lead you out to the gate! Molly does love her walks and will go as far as you are willing to go, if she thinks you haven't walked her far enough and you turn to come home she will stop in her tracks as she wants to continue walking!
When meeting other dogs on walks Molly will usually ignore them unless they are particularly dominant or bossy in which case she will show her teeth to let the other dog know she wants some space.
Molly's recall has not been fully tested but we think she could be easily distracted so this will require some further training.
Molly really likes trips out in the car, she travels well, usually in a crate for her own safety.
Molly has been fine with strangers and new people however she is quite timid and will cower and leave the room if she hears raised voices. With this in mind any children would need to be 8 years +
At mealtimes she is happy to eat alongside her canine companion, she likes to have small biscuits and a little meat mixed in too. Treats are always welcome and are taken very gently.
Molly settles well and can be left for up to 3 hours.
Overnight she sleeps happily downstairs in her bed.
Molly is fine with cats.
Molly is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and has no ongoing medical issues.
