Introducing the wonderful Tyler!
This little lad is a little smasher, loves a cuddle on your lap and is a great all rounder. He is playful, and will play for hours with his ball and cuddly toys. With a little lead work to help him along he is going to make a great addition to his new family.
He is currently sharing his foster home with multiple dogs and gets along with all of them, he isn't at all possessive of his toys and has no issues with new doggy friends coming into the home.
Tyler also loves to meet new people and will always be eager to meet them with a wagging tail. Previously he has lived with children but we feel there was possibly some rough handling as he will flinch with sudden movements and loud noises so with this in mind any children would need to be aged over 10.
Tyler's foster mum has been teaching him to walk to heel and he is very good if reminded. He is used to having 2 walks per day on a harness to prevent him pulling.
Whilst on the lead Tyler can be a very reactive to other dogs he meets, if the other dog is barking at him or jumping at him he will react and bark back but if the other dogs ignore him he will happily walk along quietly. The fosterer has been working hard with this with Tyler but will need further help and guidance to overcome his over reacting.
Tyler's recall around the garden and home is good but this has not been tested in open areas so may be something his new owner could work on.
Tyler travels well in the car, he usually travels in a crate and is happy with this.
He loves his food and will sit and wait for a treat. He also likes to be brushed.
Tyler is brilliant with being left and can be left for 6 hours although not on a regular basis.
Tyler doesn't seem interested in cats but this has not been fully tested at present.
Overnight Tyler is happy to sleep downstairs.
His foster mum has this to add:
Tyler is a great all rounder with work needed when out on the lead. When he first arrived he was very nervous and I think he has had some rough dealings within the past, if someone shouts he will lay on his back with legs in the air and will flinch with any quick movements. He needs reassurance and lots and lots of love. He will chase flies, wasps and bees so this does need to be watched. He loves to play with his toys and loves nothing more than to be curled up on your lap in the evening. He has been one of the easiest foster dogs I've had, has just fitted in and loves everybody. We will miss him dearly when he finds his forever home.
Tyler is neutered, micro-chipped and flea and worm treated and up to date with his vaccinations.
