Summary
Freya and Thor are a delightful bonded pair who have lots of love to give to a lucky person or family. They found themselves in rescue through no fault of their own when their owners emigrated and couldn't take them with them.
They are currently being fostered with several other dogs, a cat and teenagers. In their previous home they lived with babies and young children.
Freya and Thor
Freya and Thor both get on very well with other dogs inside and outside the home. Whilst on walks they tend to ignore other dogs unless the approaching dog barks at them in which case they will bark back. They are currently being walked twice a day and both walk nicely on the lead. They enjoy some off-lead time and both have very good recall.
In a car Thor can get a little over excited and finds a crate a comfort whereas Freya takes travelling in her stride.
Freya and Thor both love to meet new people and are calm and polite when introduced. They are happy to be left for 3 to 4 hours, they will cry initially but this only lasts a few minutes then they settle down happily. Overnight they both sleep downstairs in their own beds.
They are both happy to share treats and toys and Thor likes to carry a toy around in his mouth. Freya when excited loves nothing more than to charge round the garden and play chase. Although not totally introduced to cats they are currently living alongside one who they just ignore.
Freya has a grade 3 heart murmur and has been prescribed diuretic tablets for her condition. Freya also has a mild skin complaint and sometimes gets an alopecia patch which is easily treated with cream. As a result, when they arrived both dogs were fed on an anti-allergy food and this has been continued alongside a raw diet which seems to help and which they both love!
Freya and Thor's fosterer Mum adds: "They are a bonded pair that love nothing better than pottering around with you. Freya, since starting on the tablets and losing weight, has become more energetic and now loves to go for walks, Thor will follow you everywhere and is in great health, he acts more like a 5 year old with his energy levels. They love to snuggle up with you in the evening. Thor does a circular dance when he gets excited or if food is around. They are very loveable dogs with great personalities and will make great companions for a family, single person or couple with time on their hands to enjoy them"
Both dogs are neutered / spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated.
