Charlie and Bluebell were being advertised on a local second hand selling site so I made contact with the owner to offer advice on rehoming safely. The owner is very upset at having to rehome her dogs but has severe allergies, which she has been receiving treatment for in London, and has been told that she must rehome her animals. She asked if we were able to help so I am picking up Charlie, Bluebell and Walker the cat later today. Walker will be hopefully be going to Cats Protection . We are told that the dogs are both friendly, good with other dogs, children etc. and I will assess once they are with me. I'll post some photos as soon as.

Having spent time with Bluebell it was apparent that she was not enjoying the company of the pack like Charlie, she prefers her own company or just one to one with a human and was snappy if they approached her but was ok on her terms. Therefore she has moved to a new fosterer called Joy with fostering with a view to adopt - Bluebell has made herself at home and Joy is so happy
" I have been looking for a dog since March after my Charlie died at 15 years old, in the short time I have had Bell she has given me a reason to get up and to live again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart"
I somehow don't think she will be coming back lol.

Dog's Name: Charlie
Breed:Lhasa apso cross westie
Age: 1 year 5 months
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Gender:Male
Neutered/Spayed? yes
If not, date of last season if relevant or reason why dog cannot be neutered/spayed
Vaccinated? (Please include date booster due). yes june 2015
Microchipped? (please also ensure that the chip number is logged here) 981000004973159
Does the dog have any ongoing medical needs? no - did break small bone in back leg and had op, slight limp if over exercised sometimes. Can have anal gland probs if fed incorrect diet
Please give as much information as you can about how the dog is with the following:
Other dogs in the home Charlie is with 5 other dogs in the home and reacts really well with them, will play but will also tell other dog if had enough.
Other dogs on walks: ignores other dogs on walks
Usual walking routine Twice a day (2 hours)
Lead-walking does pull on lead and further training is needed
Recall Great with recall
Cats / furries Has lived with cats before
Greeting new people - loves new people and does get over excited sometimes
Children (please specify ages)Used to children of all ages
Food, Treats and Toys: Will guard his treats from other dogs, fine with humans, will share toys with either.
Car travel - Good in the car
Being left at home for periods - Can be left up to 4 hours with no problem
Sleeping - Sleeps downstairs in his bed
Grooming - likes being groomed and used to going to the dog groomers, this will be a on going cost
Please add any additional information you feel is important to know about your foster dog.
Charlie is a lovely gentle little boy that loves nothing more than to sit on your lap. He would benefit from having another dog to play with but it is not essential. He does need a small amount of training/reinforcement on his walking on a lead but apart from that will sit and stay. He is now fed on raw food and this seems to suit his diet. He has been a absolute joy to foster and will be sorely missed.
