Chance, Toy Terrier, DOB 2012 – Gatwick, West Sussex
Homing Requirements: Chance needs a family who understand Chance's need for safety. A family who aren't going to 'pick up and protect' but give him a sense of safety in his own right. Chance has a healed 'leg fracture' with no impact on his mobility or behaviour..
Video: Chance on the common
His Story: Chance was found stray with a broken leg. A vet practise took him in and held him for the dog warden but no one came forwards to reclaim him. The vets repaired his leg, neutered, vax'd & held him until we found a supportive foster place, for which we are so grateful. Chance came into a multi dog foster where he socialised and grew in self confidence. He is now in boarding kennels near Gatwick, West Sussex.
Advert: Chance is a 'toy terrier'. He is easy to walk though needs a harness to support him and to ensure if he got frightened he would not slip his collar. Chance meets other dogs well and is now happy to greet people. Housetrained, travels well in the car and can be left for short period following a settling in period.
Chance is a young rich brown smooth coated toy dog. Note his size by the first picture in the hand. He may get scared in new unfamiliar settings but generally adjusts well. Chance was in a multi-dog household where he had individual time with his fosterer, time alone and exposure within a calm, welcoming pack. Chance loves to play and he just doesn't drop his ball for you to throw it ... he throws it back to you!
