Sometimes a dog comes into the rescue's care with pre-existing health needs, and at other times previously unknown problems.
Many simple health issues can be resolved and a dog can be moved on for homing, but sometimes their medical needs are long-term, severe or permanent and potentially costly, or they need a home with a specific knowledge or skill.
For these dogs homing is extremely difficult especially with so many younger, healthy dogs to compete with, and for that reason they become Lifetime Foster Dogs, remaining in the care of the rescue with all future bills paid. We actively fundraise to ensure that funds for these costs are always available.
If you would like to become a regular supporter of any of these dogs, please message a Director or Staff Member for information.
Thank you
