I've gone ahead and ordered the food as I haven't heard from LDR since Monday when I first requested the order. I've forwarded the order confirmation to Sam for reimbursement.

Just FYI - I've sent an email to Sam requesting food, flea and worming stuff.

Hi everyone! Just a very quick note to say that Frazzle's doing okay. He had an infection near his eye where one of his skin tags got inflamed. That was treated over Xmas and the vet confirmed that there was no need for surgery to remove it, so that's good news. However, the vet also said that the cataract in his right eye was getting worse (his eyes have always had a little pearliness about them) so his sight isn't brilliant. He can still keep up with playing with his little squeaky space hopper toy sometimes - I'm taking that as a positive. His Cushings doesn't seem to be bothering him too much, and although he does have the belly, there aren't any other outward signs (eg thinning fur) to show he's suffering. One thing that I need to keep an eye on is his balance. The floor in the flat is mostly laminate so he does have slips now and again when he's not on the rugs or mats. Also, I've noticed his body doing this thing where it's as if his torso gives a few shrugs now and again. He doesn't seem bothered by it too much and just carries on as normal afterwards. The vet said just to monitor it and come and see him if it gets worse. His walks are slower but he has always loved a sniff and an explore when he's out. Been very remiss with posting photos here, but I do update Facebook with them so do take a look (link in earlier post)

Hi All, A quick update on Frazzle. He has been a very poorly boy recently and was at one point admitted to the vets for rehydration. It appears that he has pancreatitis and hepatitis, though these are probably symptoms rather than a diagnosis. Unfortunately, his vet bills are mounting at a rate that the Rescue can't keep up with. We're doing all we can but we're not exactly rich either.
He's still such a lovely little man with lots of love, and when he's well lots of life in him, just slightly unsteady on the feet, but the mixture of the illness and the antibiotics has knocked him sideways.
We're updating his Facebook page (see above) with regular updates and there's also details there of how to donate to his upkeep.

Good Luck Frazzle ,you are a gorgeous boy . I wonder if putting the vet bill total on facebook or even here might help raise some more funds for him and then have a countdown ticker so people can see how much more you need. Have you heard about easyfundraising.org.uk ? Basically you put your details on their website and when people shop you earn donations.Dont know if that is something you might be interested in doing .I always use it and earn donations for my chosen causes when I shop ,every little helps Gummy kisses from Tess and hope you are soon back to your normal Frazzle self xx

What a brave little fellow.
Good idea Honeybun...I hope you get a good response...the pain from Pancreatitis is awful so alongside everything else he must be feeling very uncomfortable I am so sorry.

Hi all. Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Frazzle on Friday. It's getting to a point where his back is deteriorating and his mobility is getting worse. It's possible that the meds to control this are playing havoc with his insides, given the problems he had with the suspected pancreatitis/hepatitis earlier in the year. A scan showed that his kidney stones have increased and there's a tumour on his spleen which is at risk of rupturing. We're absolutely heartbroken as Frazzle is more like family to us. We'll do all we can to make the last few days as comfortable as possible for him. He's been such a wonderful dog, almost 'bombproof' as rescues call it. I can't imagine him not being here. I can't imagine what it'll feel like when he slips away. But that doesn't matter really, as it's Frazzle and his health that matters between now and then. Today has been very, very emotional. He hasn't a clue though, and he has the audacity to look happy and smiley! How rude I update Facebook more regularly than here but I'll try and post here too and let you know. Please think of him on Friday afternoon from 1.30pm. Send love, good wishes and tell him about any playmates he'll meet when he crosses Rainbow Bridge, as this is one journey I can't make with him

I am so sorry about Frazzle...you know what is right for your little one and have been selfless making this decision for him, not you.
I am sending hugs and love to you and hope that you can still feel him around you
