Hi everyone
Dolly is recovering well. We saw the vet on Thursday and he is pleased with her progress we have another appointment in 3 week time. She has finished her pain killers we will have to see how she gets on over the next couple of days. Hopefully I can get some pictures of Dolly up on her post soon.

Hi Everyone A quick update on Dolly. Dolly went to the vets yesterday and she has been taken off her pain killers. Dolly is now allowed out for walks, three walks a day for 10 minutes, walking very slowly. This should be increased weekly by 5 minutes if she can walk without pain. As the vet reminded me, she has 2 pins in her knee and wire covering the knee to hold it in place, with the bone being completely reshaped. Dolly has a long recovery ahead of her. Dolly next appointment is in one months’ time. Even though Dolly been through so much, she is still a happy dog and a pleasure to foster. P.S Dolly hates fireworks.

Hi Everyone
Dolly had another trip to the vets on Monday . Dolly is recovering as expected. She is still on pain killers but her walking is improving. We can now walk at a fairly normal pace without her lifting her leg but if she walks to fast she holds her leg up. We have to go back to the vets in January, so I will update you then.
Dolly wishes everyone a Happy Christmas . X

Its great to hear that Dolly is doing so well I bet she is starting to feel the benefit now with her little walks even though it must of been such a painful time for her . Merry Christmas to Dolly and I hope Santa Paws brings her some lovely presents as she has been a good girl x.

Lifting her leg may have become a habit from before the op Jill. I wonder if the vet could make an appointment with the physio nurse to talk through some games you could play with her that will encourage more weight bearing and use of the leg?
Sounds like all is going well though...great news. Have a wonderful Christmas, and give her a cuddle for me XX

Hi Everyone
I am afraid Dolly has not had a good start to 2015.Dolly had a very serious infection in which she was bleeding from her bottom. We rushed her to the vets who diagnosed an infection in her intestine. Dolly was subscribed antibiotics and she recovered within a few days.
On Saturday I noticed that Dolly leg that was operated on in October last year was swollen and she was not using it.
Today we visited the vets and Dolly has to go back on Friday for a further operation. The vet believes that the stitches from previous operation may have come undone or Dolly Knee ligaments are in need of further support. This was very sad news as poor Dolly has to go through yet another painful operation.
Dolly is such a lovely dog and she never complains, she is a real trooper, hopeful she will get through this operation and will be running around soon.
I can’t say how heartbroken I am at this news.
I know everyone will be thinking of Dolly on Friday and I will update you all over the weekend.
Jill

Oh poor Dolly, I have been wondering how she was getting along. That must have been scary with her bleeding like that, good job she has you looking after her so well. I hope the operation goes well, poor Dolly having to go through another operation. Will be thinking of you and Dolly on Friday x

I am very sorry she is not as well as we hoped and it must be upsetting for you to have to nurse her through another op.
Sometimes I am sure we suffer even more than the furbie after the first few days. We worry and feel guilty watching them and having to restrict them. She will be a poor little mite for a while
Sending you both lots of love
Carys
