What a lovely little dog, he really melts your heart, how is the fosterer going to part with him. I am sat with a chi, either side of me and one on my lap, my chi cross is sitting with my husband - I really wish there was room for one more!

Storm did have a home in process but this was cancelled so he is still available. We have many applications for him which are being reconsidered. Please note however, he is a playful and boisterous Chi, not a delicate little lad, and would be better placed in a home with robust, active dogs, and could happily live with dogs his own size or larger. If you are not contacted for him, please do not be disappointed, we have several other Chis coming through the system in the coming weeks, and your application will remain on file. XX

Been over the park where the other dogs go this morning. Let Storm off for the first time ever with 3 strange dogs one of them is masshoosive but a gentle giant and Storm woofed and chased and bullied them all He was so excited he went a bit over the top - but now I have done it once I must go more so that it becomes the norm for him.

I really love reading about this little chap, they might be little dogs but no one has told them that! My chi at 2kg walks into training classes as though she owns the place. She is the smallest of my dogs but is a real powerhouse of energy and character.

That's what the lady with the big dog said 'he has no idea that he is any smaller than Dreyfuss'

Is this big dog in a little dogs body any closer to his forever home?

I do hope so soon this gorgeous boy has got so many of his paws set firmly under the table now. He is so lovely and so deserves a special home that's perfect for him.

I submitted my application form on Monday so fingers crossed. I already have a little rescue Chi who loves playing with my mums 2 dogs so I know he would love a companion and playmate! There's nothing else like a lovely little feisty chihuahua, they're just great!!

No further applications are being accepted for Storm.
All suitable applications will have been contacted by the end of this week. Most have already been contacted, a few still to call. If your application is not 100% ideal for Storm however, it may prove to be suitable for another dog coming through the system and alternatives will be discussed where appropriate. Thank you.

Storm is reserved pending homecheck. Storm needed to be homed with other dogs larger/robust and able to tolerate his high energy and activity levels. We received many applications for this lovely boy. All unsuccessful applications will be kept on file. If those applicants wish to apply for a future dog they are encouraged to do so; not being successful at this time is no reflection on your suitability as a home for a dog, but Storm's needs were very specific. Thank you

That is wonderful news, and I will keep everything crossed that it works out for him. This little chap really stole my heart, particularly the photo of him in the bed! My chi's would do exactly the same given the least opportunity, they really do not like the cold and wet. Having said that, they are proper dogs that love to run across fields, the beach etc. they just come in a smaller package!

Very mixed feelings so pleased he could soon be on his way to his new forever home. But Super Storm is going to leave a gaping cavern here in this house and heart.

I have fostered twice, and they both stayed with me until they went to Rainbow Bridge.
Please take comfort that you have made it possible for this little character to find his forever home, you will never forget him, but your skills and willingness to love them, care for them and then give them up is amazing. I have always had rescue dogs of all sizes but my second attempt at fostering for a friend involved in rescue, was a bad tempered, insecure, chi that never left and was the start of my passion for the breed!

Well I had to check that Frankie was still here the description fitted him so well!! Storm is much much nicer than Frankie so they are not all as bad tempered. We've still gotta wait for the home check and meet up but fingers crossed that everything goes well.
Every time a foster dog leaves I think I won't do it anymore cos it's to hard but then Clare phones up and off we go again!

I will find it difficult at work today, as it is very hard to carry on normally when you have EVERYTHING CROSSED for a successful outcome for this lovely little man!

Storm has left the building he didn't look worried as he drove away. Good luck little man, be good. Last photo with Frankie - who is looking shocked at the moment worried where his playmate has gone. Attachments:

Just heard from Storm for the second time since he left he has met the cat and didn't take any notice of it. I'm so relieved. Yes Clare you already know he won't be waiting very long for a new playmate!!!

I am delighted that he has gone to a forever home, I was soooooo tempted to apply for him! The fact that you have been contacted twice since he left earlier today, show that the new owners are very aware that you have formed a strong bond with him. Well done you and good luck Storm!
